GAP is proud to have been recognised with an ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award from Taylor Wimpey, one of the UK’s largest housebuilders, at its annual supplier conference held at The Belfry Golf Course.
The award recognises the long-standing partnership between the two businesses and the collective effort of teams across GAP who help support Taylor Wimpey sites nationwide.
Speaking about the award, GAP Nationals Sales Director Dave Tingle said:
“It’s something we’re incredibly proud of. This recognition belongs to teams across the whole business — from manufacturing and logistics through to scheduling, order processing and our nationwide depot network. Everyone works closely together and takes real pride in supporting Taylor Wimpey.”
The relationship between GAP and Taylor Wimpey stretches back more than a decade, with the first agreement signed in 2015. Over the years, GAP has built a strong working relationship with Taylor Wimpey, developing a deep understanding of the housebuilder’s requirements and the importance of delivering a reliable, responsive service throughout the year.
A key strength of this partnership is GAP’s ability to bring estimating, processing and customer service together through its Nationals team based at the Blackburn head office, providing customers with a single point of contact for sites across the UK. Backed by its nationwide network of over 110 depots, huge stocks of building products and an agile distribution fleet, GAP can respond quickly and flex alongside customer demand.
To recognise the people behind the achievement, the award trophy will now go “on tour” around different GAP depots over the coming weeks, celebrating the departments and individuals who have all contributed to the success of this partnership with Taylor Wimpey.
