Homeline Ramp Up Foiling Capacity in Record Time

Homeline Building Products, GAP’s manufacturing division producing PVC-U building products, has invested in a state the art foiling line to increase capacity at the South Wales production facility to ensure continuity of supply for customers.

An investment of £250,000 in a state of the art Duespohl Multi Wrapper has enabled Homeline to increase capacity of foiled fascias, soffits, cladding and trims by over 50%, at a time when many manufacturers will struggle to supply their customers with finished goods.

Over recent months the demand for roofline products has been exceptionally high as homeowners look to improve the appearance of their properties. In particular, Homeline’s BBA approved foiled roofline systems such as Anthracite Grey, Slate Grey and Black have seen record demand leading to the substantial investment in the Homeline production facility.

GAP’s joint founder Charles Greensmith commented, “The surge in demand we have experienced in recent months is naturally welcome, but it also presented us with short term challenges as looked to increase capacity to meet demand.

Our investment in a new foiling line, which we installed in a record time of just over 4 weeks, has allowed us to increase capacity to ensure our depots carry the stock our customers expect from us. This unbelievable turnaround is testament of our number one goal to ensure we have the stock our customers need when they need it, especially at a time of industry wide shortages. It also demonstrates we’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done.

In addition to the investment in Homeline, we have also increased the capacity of our central warehouse in Lancashire to ensure we can carry more finished goods to meet demand.”

The investment in foiling capacity is just the latest in a long line of achievements for Homeline, who manufacture the most environmentally friendly BBA approved roofline system available. With Agate Grey about to be launched and new sales literature about to be released, the future is looking bright at Homeline.
