GAP’s Christmas Jumper Day

We have been getting into the Christmas spirit here at GAP where we recently held our annual Christmas Jumper Day! On Friday 10th December, we invited our staff to wear their best Christmas jumpers and give back to charity. We received some fantastic pictures from across our depot network which showed off the wide range of festive jumpers owned by staff, and even a couple of incredible Christmas suits!

We received some fantastic pictures from far and wide across the business with some special mentions going to the Falkirk depot (complete with furry friend) and our IT team who have gone all out, even those working from home! It does seem like GAP Croydon may have missed the memo though – they remembered their Christmas jumpers but forgot the festive cheer!

Usually alongside our Christmas jumper day we run a food drive for local charity Nightsafe. However, like so many other charities, Nightsafe has suffered during the coronavirus outbreak, so this year we asked our staff to donate direct to them. This ensures the money can be used in the way they need it. Nightsafe is a local Charity set up in 1990 by a group of local people, with the aim of alleviating the plight of homeless and vulnerably housed young people within the borough of Blackburn with Darwen and surrounding areas. We thought it vital to support a cause close to home and one which helped those most at risk during the winter.

If you would like to support Nightsafe and its cause please consider making a donation at: www.justgiving.com/campaign/somewheretogosomewheretostaysomeonetotalkto and help ensure everyone has a happy Christmas this year.
