GAP, the leading stockist of PVC-U Building Products, has purchased the assets of Highline Building Plastics Ltd.
The move, which safeguards many industry jobs, will enable GAP to continue their expansion drive with the addition of two new depots in Barnsley and Gateshead. It will be business as normal for existing customers as they continue to be served with high quality PVC-U Building Products.
Investment in the new depots is already well underway with new Homeline Building Products stock being introduced, a new delivery fleet added, I.T systems installed and training on other GAP brands such as Rockdoor taking place. Transformation has also started in rebranding the Highline premises to look and feel like GAP depots.
Commenting on the acquisition Joint MD Simon Bird explains: “We’ve taken this opportunity to expand as the Highline depots specialised in serving commercial customers across the UK from Barnsley and Gateshead. We hope to expand this operation considerably in the coming years by using GAP’s depot network, in conjunction with the skills and contacts already established by the team at Highline.”
