A Blast From The Past!

We were delighted to welcome back one of the very first delivery vans GAP used when we began all the way back in 1993, earlier this month as part of our 30th celebrations.

The incredibly well-designed replica was commissioned to go alongside one of our more current delivery vehicles, which shows the incredible differences between vehicle advancements over the last 3 decades, not to mention how far GAP have developed over this time period.

Joint MD, Simon Bird was thrilled with the LDV 'sherpa' style van forming part of our celebrations:

“It gives us a fantastic reminder of the good times we have had over the last 30 years and reminds us just exactly how far we’ve grown as a company.

“When we were out making deliveries in this van three decades ago, we could never have envisaged that GAP of the present day would have looked like this, as an industry-wide known stockist, manufacturer and distributor of low maintenance building plastics.

“It’s safe to say that the vehicles we now use to make deliveries across our depot network, around the UK, are definitely a lot more advanced than previously!”

Although we won’t be seeing the original GAP ‘sherpa’ van delivering any of our fantastic range of products anytime soon, we are still thrilled with the replica version presented at the 30th celebrations.
