GAP Staff Take on Three Peaks Challenge for Cancer Research UK

We are delighted to announce a number of our colleagues, attempted and successfully overcame the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge over the weekend.

Katy, Michelle, Aidan, Steph, Jeremy and Matt were the lucky participants who managed to complete the immense 24.5-mile-long circuit, up and around three of the Yorkshire Dales most famous peaks, raising over £1000 in the process for Cancer Research UK.

Organised by the Sunnywood Project – an outdoor activity and education provider who aim to promote physically and mentally healthy lifestyles through getting outside and active.

Group Financial Controller, Katy Whitehead led the GAP team on Saturday and outlined how the team spirit helped them overcome the tough challenge:

“We laughed our way through a tough 24.5 miles in the Yorkshire sunshine and I think it has created some special memories for each of us.

“A few of us are slightly broken today, but Saturday showed me the power of working together as a team and the effect it can have.”

A huge congratulations and well done to all those who took part in the challenge, an absolutely tremendous effort.
